Biography
Sverre Fredriksen (24) is studying multimedia and film at University of South Australia and is currently working on his graduation film titled About to Burst. The film is set to premiere in Adelaide early December this year.
All of his most recent animations have screened publicly at film festivals and a few of them have even received awards and nominations. Sverre's first film to screen was the puppet animation Jon Åge that screened at Cinemateket in Trondheim, Norway 2003. His clay animation Does It Suck To Be Clay? was made for the Adelaide Fringe Festival's "Shoot the Fringe" in 2004 and received a top prize. Sverre then went on to make a cutout animation in collaboration with filmmaker Ryan O'Connor, and their film Wake Up & Close Your Eyes was short listed as a finalist for the Young Filmmaker's Human Rights Award in Adelaide 2005.

Since then Sverre attended the acclaimed indie film fest MUFF (Melbourne Underground Film Festival) with the experimental animation Broken Joystick and held a workshop on activist filmmaking for Amnesty International's Youth Conference in Adelaide. Sverre is planning to study further for a Masters degree in film and animation when he graduates, and it is likely that one of his future films will screen at a film festival near you.
